Coaches can use this data to track their team’s performance, identify weaknesses and develop strategies during the game. 

This SAP-NHL Coaching app has been well received by the coaches in the NHL as 90% said that the app had helped them to improve the team’s performance. 

To unlock further better opportunities from the vast accumulated data of over more than 10 years from the HITS (Hockey Information and Tracking System), the NHL collaborated with Amazon Web Service (AWS). this Association aimed at leveraging  By utilizing AWS’s cloud computing capabilities and machine learning tools like Amazon SageMaker, the NHL aimed to extract valuable insights from this data to produce advanced statistics. These advanced statistics could offer a deeper understanding of player and team performance, strategies, and game dynamics.

The NHL could also use AWS Lambda(a serverless computing service) to process real-time data feeds from games, enabling faster and more efficient analysis during live play. This real-time analysis could potentially be used by coaches to make immediate tactical adjustments during games.
