  • This is a tableau dashboards project for home loan department for bank. There is SLQ2CQ internal management system requires tons of tableau dashboards to sure the proper data in order to track the performance of each employee in each department. This project is for invoice management department and there are several sections with it. There visual management, people management, and department management. Each team will have this tree types of dashboards and tells with different kinds of data metrics. Here is an example of how this dashboards look. The first two are same dashboards with different filtering. And 3rd one is the dashboard for compliance view, which has summary information with calculation of metrics up there and loan level detail down there.

HBase Data Extraction

  • Legacy Community Health was founded in 1978. It is a federally qualified Health Center and they provide services such as adult primary care, dental care, vision services, nutrition services, HIV/AIDS care, behavioural health services, etc. Currently, traditional RDBMS is used to manage all the data regarding to patient, medication, transaction, and more. Our goal of this project was to load the current existing data in RDBMS to HBase and extract the data using conditions such as prefixes, base column names and etc.
  • Pig is mainly used for this project since its built in functions found to be suitable. Using UDF was necessary due to Pig Latin being a data flow language. Some of the functions didn’t work as expected in the early stage of the project. However, it didn’t take a long time to find a way to work around it. We have used this information to do the analysis that which hospitals are good for particular condition. Either way the information is useful for the hospital to make a sound decision for quality of the care they provide. When you have a life-threatening emergency, always go to the nearest hospital. However, if you’re planning to have surgery, or if you have a condition like heart disease and know you may need hospital care in the future. Research shows that some hospitals do a better job taking care of patients with certain conditions than other hospitals.

Facility Compare Dashboard

Facility Compare Dashboard provides Snapshot of Five Star Rating for dialysis facility Clinics.

  • Design the complete data visualization which combine the inverse normal distribution calculation and rank average into a custom geocoding dashboard. It need to be user friendly.
  • Related ratio of error-prone approach with key calculation facts by using dashboard action filters.
  • We had developed a parameter filter combine with calculations field in tableau to show the accuracy of the calculation against each key facts.
  • Designed a KPI score chart to show the comparison between automated process and manual process along with time frame.
  • Enabled end user to see significant improvement on business visibility using the dynamic interactive actions in the dashboards.

CrownWeb Dashboard

CROWN Web is a Web-based data collection system that allows authorized users to securely submit patient-based data to CMS’s CROWN application via electronic data interchange. CROWN Web is an abbreviation of Consolidated Renal Operations in a Web-Enabled Network. Need to represent the relationship between key factors (e.g. XSD validation, CMS accepted ratio, CMS rejected ration, resubmission rejected rate etc).

They expect us to design simple solution for end user so they can understand the relationship with a single click on key factors. We have created a dashboard using Tableau with three highlighted cross tab tables. Those tables are within the hierarchical relationship for drawing down analysis so the end user can check exact reason of rejection by clicking on each highlighted fact numbers. We have created incremental updating dashboard with a various filters and calculations to end users in order to help them to improve the process performance.

Dialysis Facility Compare Data Store

Facility Compare data store that provides one to five-star rating based on information about the quality of care and services that a dialysis facility provides. It will store data published on government website, and other in-house data stores, and perform calculations to derive performance measures and final FIVE STAR to identify the performance of business and other third-party facilities.

  • Complex statistics calculations being used in conjunctions, e.g. inverse normal distribution, rank average, distance calculation based on longitude and latitude etc.
  • Error-prone approach in the data collection from government as well as data processing.
  • Implemented tiered calculations using Informatica and PL/SQL to accurately calculate all measures and produce the result as expected.
  • Centralized design and automated process to reduce manual effort as well as maintain all history data.

All measures are timely and accurately calculated, resulting in significant improve on business visibility of facility performance.

CROWN Web Data Store

CROWN Web is a Web-based data collection system that allows authorized users to securely submit patient-based data to CMS’s CROWN application via electronic data interchange. CROWN Web is an abbreviation of Consolidated Renal Operations in a Web-Enabled Network. The CROWN WEB DATA STORE (CWDS) is a database repository that will store data from 5 xml feeds which client sends to CMS (Government) on a scheduled basis. CWDS stores the data from KC which is the actual source of the xml feeds. Feeds include Patient, Clinical, New Patient ESRD 2728, Date of Death ESRD 2746 and Attestation. CMS (Government) submissions vs CMS (Government) Feedback matching is highly impossible due to CMS do not send the whole key data along with their Accept/Reject comments.

  • To structure the Feedback comments/Errors, Identify the Errors causing by Facility to take appropriate action to reduce the %age of CMS Rejections to ZERO.[/wptabcontent]
